Lauren Galley, President of Girls Above Society Takes on Official Ambassador Role with Secret Deodorant Mean Stinks Campaign and Teen Vogue

As girl to girl bullying continues to rise Lauren takes on a mission to empower girls to think before they speak, type or text. Low self esteem affects the bully and the target being bullied. Giving tween and teen girls the tools needed to become confident is a stepping stone for positive change resulting in less judgement and negative engagement.
Lauren’s signature #Mean Stinks let’s THINK recent Girl Talk rocked the San Jacinto Girl Scouts 1000+ Club with a powerful message of how it feels to be torn apart with negative words. The talk ended with a unanimous blue pinkie promise to promote kindness to one another by being nice.
Lauren’s next stop is Springfield, Ohio where she is scheduled as a featured VIP speaker for the No Bull Benefit red carpet event on Oct. 4. This event brings awareness to bullying with 100% of the proceeds going to the No Bull Challenge project. http://www.nobullbenefit.org
When girl bullying occurs: 85% of the time there is no intervention, 11% peer intervention and 4% teacher intervention.
Approximately Fifty-Eight percent of girls have reported that mean things have been said about them online.
Lauren’s ambassadorship with Secret Deodorant’s Mean Stinks Campaign will give a larger platform to educate girls, giving them the tools to become confident and empowered in a positive way. As a peer to peer mentor, Lauren is not only is relatable, she is the perfect example of how the power of nice can be learned.

Lauren’s passion for charitable causes such as Boy and Girls Country, Susan B. Curtis Foundation, Communities in Schools and Cy-Hope, located throughout the United States. Lauren's work extends to the economically challenged territories providing hope and change. Her effort to bring an end to bullying has been officially recognized by Texas Governor Rick Perry and her first book “Steps to Success: An Empowerment Guide” gives young girls easy to follow steps that will increase confidence and leadership skills to be the best a girl can be.
Lauren’s costarring role as Lt. Sparx McCoy along with Matt Lavine as Matt Mercury in “Matt Mercury - Plot of the Galactic Mastermind” is directed by Star Wars artist Bill Hughes of Big Tex Movin Picture Company, to be released in 2014. Lauren has appeared on ABC Family’s “The Lying Game”, and NBC's "CHASE" as well as National Commercials such as Fox Sports and Jarritos. Modeling for boutiques, charity fashion shows, and catalogue print work lets the world see the confidence, beauty, and intelligence attached to a contagious smile that warms everyone she meets.
Lauren lives in Texas where she attends Sam Houston State University pursuing her Bachelors degree in the field of Psychology. She is proud to be a Alpha Delti Pi sister at SHSU. Lauren’s latest scholastic honor is the Student Excellence Award for Service with back to back awards for 2013 and 2014.
