Laurens County Native John P. Faris, Jr. Launches New Book with Book Signing and Exhibit of His Handcrafted Walnut Tables
Laurens, SC (PRWEB) September 18, 2016 -- You’re invited to celebrate the launch of John’s second book “We’ll Do It Tomorrow” at the Laurens County Museum in the Witherspoon Building on the Historic Square in Laurens, SC, on Thursday, September 29, 2016. In addition to the book signing event, the author will also display a collection of wooden tables he’s built over the past year. Copies of his books and handcrafted tables will be available for purchase.
In his second collection of masterfully told stories, John P. Faris, Jr. takes us along the creeks and rivers of his native Laurens County, South Carolina, to shoot mallards and wood ducks; and he invites us to angle for red drum and tarpon in the tidal tributaries of the Georgia coast. John is a natural born storyteller. His tales are about more than turkeys, rabbits, deer, ducks, and fish. They are stories about the joys and sorrows of life. The book also includes a foreword by Bob Timberlake, the renowned artist, and author.

About the Author
John Faris Jr. is a native of South Carolina, a Southern storyteller, and an avid outdoorsman. He was reared in Laurens, a small town in South Carolina in the 1950s and 60s, and now resides in Spartanburg, SC. His passion since childhood has been hunting and fishing. He enjoys farming, wood crafting, boat building, photography, and writing. John’s first book “Ten Was The Deal” was published September 5, 2013, and his second book “We’ll Do It Tomorrow” was published August 24, 2016.
