Law Department DeskTop (“DeskTop”) Introduces the Franchise / Lease DeskTop
Millbrook,NY (PRWEB) November 27, 2013 -- The Law Department DeskTop in concert with our law firm partners has released an updated DeskTop to support lease and franchise workflows. The Franchise DeskTop joins the other existing platforms which are provided by law firms to their clients including insurance, litigation and employment workproduct.
The DeskTop is a secure, cloud-based Microsoft SharePoint™ platform addressing the need to build document libraries and integrated workflows between corporate law departments and their outside counsel. The Franchise DeskTop allows a franchisee to upload lease, maintenance, insurance, tax, estoppel tracking and other information onto the DeskTop. The upload will trigger a process which alerts lawyers of the new documents and outlines the steps necessary for review and agreement. All parties are provided alerts and management screens to monitor the status of on-going workflows.
Studies have consistently shown that the most effective way to reduce legal costs is to institute workflow processes either internally within the organization or between outside counsel and other partners. Building such workflows on SharePoint means that there is very little training for staff or need to involve corporate IT resources.
“Leveraging the DeskTop to support real estate, lease and franchisee workproduct is a natural extension to our current DeskTop modules,” says O. Forrest Morgan, President of the Law Department Desktop. “Further,” Forrest adds, “many of the documents used by financial institutions will benefit from having the sophisticated workflow and collaborative features that SharePoint provides.”
