Laura Shaver was recently hired as a senior associate with the firm and will be responsible for its felony caseload, including violent felonies, drug crimes, sex crimes, clemency petitions, department of correction issues and other major felony and complex criminal litigation.

Shaver has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from San Diego State University, a Certificate in Human Rights from the University of Oxford, and received her Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law. After graduating law school, Shaver returned home, to the Pacific Northwest, where she passed the Washington State Bar. She worked as a public defender at the Yakima County Department of Assigned Counsel, where she served as lead counsel on hundreds of juvenile felony and misdemeanor cases. She is currently lead counsel on cases ranging from burglary to murder in the first degree.
