Leading Environmental Consulting Firm ESA Cuts Payables Processing Time in Half With CCG Product
Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) February 19, 2014 -- Leading environmental science and planning firm Environmental Science Associates (ESA) recently implemented Central Consulting Group’s CCG Payables Approval & Tracking software to make the firm’s accounts payable process more efficient.
The software allows firms to scan their incoming paper invoices and create electronic versions, which can be reviewed and edited by approvers easily and quickly via their Deltek Vision® ERP system.
“With more than 350 employees spread across 15 offices, we were spending too much time and money making paper copies of vendor invoices and shipping them to approvers,” said Tara Devlin, ESA’s senior accounts payable and payroll specialist who oversaw the software implementation. “With CCG Payables Approval & Tracking, we estimate it takes about 50 percent less time — and we’ve reduced our paper use and shipping costs as part of our commitment to operate as a sustainable business,” Devlin explained.
The firm’s accountants and office managers aren’t the only ones who benefit, Devlin added. “Our project managers really like that they now have direct access to invoice information related to their projects,” she said. “They can run reports and see details like job-to-date billed for each vendor and if the client has been invoiced, which helps them be more accountable.”
Another welcome result of the CCG product is faster receivables. “Now if a client has a question about their bill, we can quickly find the back-up information instead of having to dig it out of a file cabinet. By resolving client questions faster, we’re providing more responsive client service and speeding payments,” Devlin explained.
