Leading Transportation Company Delivers Holiday Cheer in the Silicon Valley
Sunnyvale, California (PRWEB) December 19, 2014 -- On December 4th, Avalon Transportation Service, Irvine Company Furnished Apartments, and Be Connected USA hosted a Fashion for Charity event featuring Dress for Success San Jose. While the event was for charity, Susan Hauck with partners Christina Meyers and Cynthia Fritz made sure that the evening was a fun time for all! With savvy local vendors purveying fashion, accessories and a chance to design a personal fragrance, there were gifts and goodies for everyone. Experts were even on site to assist with shopping.
Avalon Transportation continued their holiday tradition of partnering with local businesses to benefit the community. Last year they hosted the wildly successful “Shop Till You Drop Holiday Event” in San Francisco. This year, Avalon and their partners moved the party south to Sunnyvale. The evening began with a Champagne Fountain surrounded by crystal gems and light refreshments before indulging in the bounties of Stella & Dot, CiCi Kelly Handbags, Voluptuary Cosmo Gems and Jewelry, Perfume Soiree, Heaven’s Boutique, and Cheeky Clothing and Accessories. Guests were extremely generous with charitable donations, and vendors brought in upwards of $10,000 in 2 hours. Guests took away an additional gift of a Satin Jewelry bag and a $200 Nordstrom’s gift card was auctioned off at the end of the night.
A portion of all proceeds went to benefit Dress for Success San Jose. This charitable organization helps women in disadvantaged situations find economic independence by providing professional attire and career services. Guests of the event were encouraged to bring gently used professional clothing for donation to the cause. Susan and her partners are extremely pleased with the turnout and look forward to planning next year’s event.
