Lean & Hungry Theater Presents "The Comedy of Errors"
Washington, DC (PRWEB) April 30, 2014 -- Two sets of twins separated at birth embroil a community in a series of hijinks in order to reunite in Lean & Hungry Theater’s latest radio adaption. Set in the wild, wild west, Shakespeare’s “The Comedy of Errors” features a shipwreck, mistaken identities, and a family reunion thirty years in the making.
“The Comedy of Errors” is Lean & Hungry’s return to Shakespeare after successfully venturing out of Elizabethan drama and into Colonial New England with Nathaniel Hawthorne’s The Scarlet Letter. Lean & Hungry is the Washington-based professional theater company that performs radio drama adaptations of Shakespearean and other classics.
Directed by Megan Behm and adapted for the airwaves by Lean & Hungry’s resident dramaturg, Isabel Smith-Bernstein, the one-hour radio adaptation of William Shakespeare’s classic will be broadcast LIVE at 6 p.m. on June 22 from American University’s amphitheater. Ben Model, one of the country’s leading silent film accompanists, will perform live improvised music during the show. Tickets are $15 and children 12 years old and younger are admitted free.
