Learning Circle Kids LLC's Latest App, Reader Bee and the Story Tree, Receives One of Five Mobile App “Gold Level” Awards from Parents’ Choice Award
Camas, WA (PRWEB) February 23, 2015 -- Reader Bee and the Story Tree just received one of five mobile app “Gold Level” awards from Parents’ Choice Award, the gold standard of youth education-oriented parental and caregiver guidance. While Parent’s Choice awarded 14 Gold Level awards this year, only five were for children as young as the 3-6 year old Reader Bee target audience, the over-flooded but overwhelmingly unsuccessful—yet critical—early learner market. In delivering the award, Parent’s Choice said, “Reader Bee and the Story Tree packs an amazing punch for its tiny $1.99 price tag.” - See more at: http://www.parents-choice.org/product.cfm?product_id=33279&StepNum=1&award=aw#sthash.3fxzEMTi.dpuf.
For the first time, Reader Bee and the Story Tree uses multi-sensory experience to connect sounds to letters to words to stories in fun ways that captivate children at their own level of natural learning while rendering them endless “a-ha” moments as they quickly grasp the connectivity of our language and, hence, read funner and faster©. Phonics decoding—being the basics of word building—allows children, when quickly grasped, to read three-letter daisy words (CVC words). As a fun activity game, it compellingly captivates the children without the upfront appearance of an exercise.
Developed by Learning Circle Kids LLC, the app uses the Apple iPad 08 operating system to animate the letters via Wizdings,© giving them personality to enhance the experience of tracing and matching back letters for activating cranial motor skill activity centers. Until now there has never been the ability to integrate the sensory components of learning: sound, sight, motor skill activity and touch—all critical to cementing identification and understanding of the symbols, their place in words and their meaning. Reader Bee is not unique in using those but is believed to be first-ever in packaging them into one learning experience. The child’s experience is palpably physical, sensory and emotional. The laughs are loud and loving as kids interact with the app as if it were alive and a friend.
Parents’ Choice went on to say, “In addition to the children's activities, there is a well written and user-friendly section dedicated to providing parents with background on the development of the app, instructions on its use, suggestions for additional activities and more.” - See more at: http://www.parents-choice.org/product.cfm?product_id=33279&StepNum=1&award=aw#sthash.3fxzEMTi.dpuf.
But an added benefit of Reader Bee and the Story Tree is minimal necessary parental oversight because it is an easy-to-use game. Children enthusiastically embrace it quickly and continuously. As Parents’ Choice noted, children embrace it for “30 to 40 minutes at a time,” which is unusually long for a 3-6 year old in education—deriving from the pure funner and faster© game reality of the app. For more on Reader Bee and the Story Tree, see: http://www.readerbee.com/Home.

Parents’ Choice Award is an award presented by the non-profit Parents’ Choice Foundation for “the very best products for children of different ages and backgrounds, and of varied skill and interest levels.” It is considered the industry equivalent to an Academy Award—determined by a committee of librarians, educators, parents, children, scientists and performing artists. “Gold level” is the highest of five award levels for a new product. Criteria for judgments include the highest production standards, universal human values and a unique, individual quality that pushes the product a notch above others.
