LED Sign Lighting Leader Joins AgiLight, Inc.
San Antonio, TX (PRWEB) June 20, 2014 -- AgiLight®, Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of General LED, Inc., announces the appointment of Paul Southard to the position of Managing Director. Mr. Southard will lead the innovative San Antonio-based LED sign lighting company immediately and be responsible for all sales and marketing functions globally.
"Paul Southard brings a broad range of experience in LED sign lighting product development and technologies coupled with an understanding of channel strategies, distribution networks and customer management," said Steven Moya, President and CEO, "His proven leadership capabilities and his knowledge base will position AgiLight well as we continue to expand our global presence."
Southard brings 15 years of sales and marketing experience plus hands-on experience in LED sign lighting design and manufacturing, procurement, product and project management. He holds five issued patents in LED lighting technologies.
Before joining AgiLight, Southard was Director of National Accounts at WatchFire Signs, where he was responsible for developing national and regional electronic messaging sign programs. He has held the positions as Director of LED Sign Sales, National Sales Manager and spent over nine years at GE Lighting Solutions starting as an Application Development Engineer and ending as a Regional Sales Manager-Midwest. He has also been an Optics Engineer in automotive and began his career as a Laser Engineer at McDonnell Douglas-West.

Southard holds an M.S. in Applied Optics from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, a B.S. in Electro-Optics from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, an A.S. in Laser Electro-Optics from Vincennes University and he attended Indiana University-Southeast.
