Legacy Health publishes patient ratings
Portland, Ore. (PRWEB) February 24, 2016 -- Legacy Health announced it is publishing patient ratings through the Find a Provider search on legacyhealth.org for all Legacy Medical Group adult outpatient providers. Legacy Health is one of only a few healthcare systems in the country to publish verified patient satisfaction survey results for physicians.
“Offering our patients easy to digest, verified physician reviews provides our patients with a complete picture of care,” said Dr. Melinda Muller, MD., primary care doctor, and clinical vice president of primary care for Legacy Medical Group. “Publishing our patient satisfaction ratings allows us to be transparent and lets the patient know their opinion matters.”
Legacy Medical Group already collects patient satisfaction surveys administered by an independent third-party survey group. The National Research Reputation Platform processes the existing survey data and implements the same five-star scale found on most consumer websites.
“The reality is, patients are now consumers and they are reading online reviews before choosing a physician,” said Andrew Ibbotson, vice president of National Research Corp. “Legacy Medical Group providers are doing great work for their patients and consumers should be aware of that.”
Approximately 275 Legacy Medical Group adult primary care and specialty physicians will receive a star rating on legacyhealth.org. In addition to a one-through-five star rating, all survey comments will be published – the good, the bad, and the ugly – provided they do not contain confidential patient health information, profanity or libelous statements.
Consumers looking for a physician rating can visit http://www.legacyhealth.org/find-a-provider. Search results can be sorted by physician name, specialty or geography. Once a physician receives 30 or more patient reviews, comments and star ratings will be published and updated weekly.
