Legacy Trust Family Wealth Offices Builds Marketing Programs Around Web.com Tour Championship
Ponte Vedra Beach, FL (PRWEB) September 18, 2015 -- When Kristin McLauchlan, CEO and Chairman of Legacy Trust Family Wealth Offices (http://www.legacytrustcompany.com) committed to a three-year Founding Partner sponsorship of October’s Web.com Tour Championship, she made it one of her firm’s promises to help drive spectators to the event. Most businesses that sponsor similar events are typically investing in branding opportunities or a chance to entertain clients. While those elements are important to the firm’s marketing goals, McLauchlan is also focused on helping organizers build interest in the event.
Given the significance of this tournament including four days of live coverage on the Golf Channel, the exposure for the community and the charities that benefit from monies the tournament raises is extremely important to Legacy Trust. Therefore, Legacy Trust is putting into place a series of its own daily events designed to help garner spectator interest in what is the most important tournament on the Web.com Tour calendar.
Stated Kristin McLauchlan, Chairman & CEO of Legacy Trust, “As a business in our community, we feel strongly that it is our responsibility to support cultural and sporting events that can help our community prosper. The Web.com Tour Championship proved over the last two years that it is a big event doing great things for our community, and we want to continue to drive that.” In past years Legacy Trust has simply given tickets to clients and prospects, inviting them to visit the tournament and spend some time in their hospitality chalet. Utilizing Jacksonville (FL) marketing strategy company MediaShare Consulting Group Legacy Trust wanted is taking a more aggressive approach this year to ensure bigger crowds.
On Thursday, October 1, Legacy Trust is hosting a “Ladies on the Lawn” fashion show featuring local dress designer Katherine Way, creator of the Katherine Way Collection (which is carried in the TPC Sawgrass clubhouse). Legacy Trust will host a breakfast for “friends of the firm” during the fashion show and then adjourn to its hospitality chalet. As part of this event, they are involving local non-profit, Hubbard House, an organization that provides housing and career services to battered women so they can achieve independence from their situations. Legacy Trust is asking each guest to donate a gently worn dress to Hubbard House residents so they will have appropriate attire for job interviews and their ensuing careers. Legacy Trust will also invite some of its fellow Founding Partners to bring guests to the morning soiree.
Legacy Trust is the title sponsor of the Friday Night Concert taking place on Friday, October 2, which is open to all ticket holders and this year features Uncle Kracker. The firm invites its clients, prospects and key vendors to come out to the tournament in the late afternoon and then stay for a private party in the TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse during the concert.
On Saturday, October 3, Legacy Trust will host a short game clinic with local LPGA player and Legacy Trust Brand Ambassador, Amelia Lewis. The private clinic will run in the morning, at which point guests will head to the hospitality chalet for lunch, watching the golf and chatting with Ms. Lewis before she heads to China the following morning for a tournament.
In addition, each day Legacy has donated its compliment of tickets to area non-profit organizations with the intent of those charities giving the tickets to their key people – VIP donors, Board members, employees and even beneficiaries of the organizations.
Said McLauchlan, “While we love the traditional benefits of sponsoring an event like this, the most compelling reasons for being involved with the Web.com Tour Championship has always been the commitment to area charities and giving to local non-profit organizations. Part of what we do is help our clients develop their charitable giving plans, and our philosophy is that we will take a leadership role in the community from a corporate giving perspective. One of our other tenets is commitment – to our clients, to our long-term perspective on investment strategies, and to our community – as hopefully demonstrated by continued commitment to this event”
Matt Rapp, Executive Director of the Web.com Tour Championship, said of Legacy Trust’s strategy, “This is indicative of Kristin’s style, to put the good of the community above that of her firm. Yes, Legacy Trust is certainly utilizing all of the marketing assets a big, televised stage like this delivers, but to tie in events-within-events to help drive interest is helpful to all of us. They have been great partners since this event started, and our relationship continued to grow.”
When asked about Legacy Trust, Web.com CEO, David Brown, stated, "To have a company of Legacy Trust's caliber continue its leading sponsorship role speaks volumes to the prestige of the event. We are fortunate to have them as a partner, and so dedicated to the success of this tournament."
Being held October 1-4 on Dye’s Valley Course at TPC Sawgrass, the Web.com Tour Championship is part of the newly created four-event Web.com Tour Finals, and the culminating event of the 2015 Web.com Tour season. The Web.com Tour Championship will feature the top-75 money winners at the end of the Web.com Tour regular season as well as the PGA TOUR players who finish 126-200 on the FedEx Cup points. All PGA TOUR cards will be finalized at the tournament, making the Web.com Tour the path to the PGA TOUR.
