Les Coulisses Restaurant Opens at the Belasco Theatre
LOS ANGELES (PRWEB) November 01, 2017 -- The Belasco Theater Complex unveils its new dining concept with an approachable fine dining restaurant: Les Coulisses. The remodeled space from Marc Sittenfield of The Belasco Theater Hospitality Group and TINI Vintage Interior Design includes overstuffed sectionals covered in plush fabric, remixed with antiques and over the top Hollywood Regency Style reminisce of the area’s golden age. The food is inspired by the coastal regions around the Mediterranean Sea with a menu crafted by Executive Chef Frances Li.

Les Coulisses, meaning “backstage” in French, will replace the former Vintage 10 Fifty Wine Bar located directly off the main lobby of the Belasco Theatre. Guests will enter through a private entrance located on the corner of South Hill Street and 11th Avenue, and offered a variety of seating options.
The first-floor parlor room features an eclectic mix of styles, with one overarching, luxurious theme. A giant gold chair looms over the second story bar. Cozy banquettes line the upstairs mezzanine, which can be booked for private parties of up to 50 people. In total, the two-story 3,500 square foot space can accommodate 150 guests.
Les Coulisses caters to a range of unique culinary experiences. Guests will enjoy tasting dishes that are both seasonal and locally sourced. The menu is produce-driven and offers a lighter fare suited for the progressive lifestyle of today. Chef Frances Li adds, “In Los Angeles, you can get anything, and this is important with French food being ingredient driven.”
About Chef Frances Li
Los Angeles native Frances Li is a 4th generation cook born to immigrant parents. Her love of French cooking began in her early 20’s, and is influenced by Julia Child and Thomas Keller. She is classically French trained, and has cooked professionally for 14 years.

Les Coulisses is located on 1050 S. Hill Street, Los Angeles, CA. The restaurant serves modern French cuisine in a Hollywood Regency setting inside the historic Belasco Theatre Complex Downtown Los Angeles.
