Lessons in Faith: One Bishop's Everlasting Impact
CHICAGO (PRWEB) February 08, 2016 -- Church isn’t just a place to learn about the word of God, but to learn from His people too.
In her new book, Memories: Expression from the Word, author Rose Love documents the teachings of Suffragan Bishop Robert A. Baggett, her pastor of 28 years. Thanks to years of notes taken from the late Baggett’s sermons, Memories tells the story of one loving man’s take on God’s word and lessons on how to progress forward in one’s faith.
“This book began to unfold in 1973 when I first attended the Apostolic Church of Morgan Park in Chicago,” Love said. “I took my first note and continued to do so for the next twenty eight years.”
Love wants to share the wisdom that Baggett passed on to her and the rest of the congregation during his time at the church with readers across the United States.
“Baggett’s time in the church and with me is one I will never take for granted,” Love said. “He was a man of love, communication and faith and encouraged others to be the same.”
