Let’s Help Kids Celebrates 5 Years of Helping Kids with its Annual “Dual” Gala hosted by Artisphere in Arlington, Virginia February 28
Fairfax, Virginia (PRWEB) February 10, 2015 -- It takes a special six-year-old to start a charity in order to help other children, so it stands to reason that the Let’s Help Kids Foundation (LHK) now celebrating five years of bringing happiness to children will put on a special benefit gala.
“Five years ago when I started this organization with my mom, I wanted kids who didn’t have a lot of the things I did to feel special and happy. Our dual kids and parent gala is the best party around because it’s fun for everyone and it raises money and attention to help even more kids in 2015,” says Rachel Harris, Let’s Help Kids’ 11-year-old co-founder.
The Let’s Help Kids 5th birthday celebration “dual” gala will raise money for kids in the metro area. The funds raised will provide toys, bikes, and other special request items that make childhood memorable all year long, not just during the holiday season.
This year’s family friendly event celebrates the charity’s five years of service to the community and will be hosted by Artisphere in Arlington, Virginia. Best of all, kids are on the guest list providing a babysitter-free evening and a chance to teach children the value of helping others, while also having a great time.
“This gala is the perfect family event,” says Jen Sterling, the foundation “mom” and co-founder. “Everyone is looking for some warmth and happiness in winter and we feel this is the best time of year to celebrate kids and give families the chance to make a real difference in their community.
• Adults will enjoy a night of great music, dancing, fabulous food, cash bar, and a silent auction.
• Children will play the night away in a chaperoned children’s room that this year will feature all glow-in-the-dark fun thanks to the Artisphere’s black room. The kid’s party includes food, games, entertainment, and a photo booth.
Join the party from 5 p.m.-10 p.m., February, 28 2015
Artisphere 1101 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington VA 22209
Tickets are $150 for per adult and $50 per children with table packages and event sponsorships available too.
“The Dual Gala embodies everything Let’s Help Kids is all about,” says Sterling, adding, “The gala is going to be a night of fun for a fantastic cause and there will be something for everyone both young and old.”
