Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) September 15, 2017 -- Let’s Talk Counseling.com announced this week that they are offering their solution for free to health care providers wanting to help those affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Let’s Talk Counseling provides medical professionals the opportunity to provide their services through an easy-to-use, safe online environment.
For the next three months, Let’s Talk Counseling is offering their HIPAA Compliant Video Communication Software at no charge to heath care providers volunteering their services to people in need in areas affected by the hurricanes including Houston, Miami, the Keys and their surrounding areas.
Let’s Talk Counseling hopes to build a disaster relief team to help individuals and families affected by Hurricane’s Harvey and Irma. They are looking for qualified health care professionals in Florida and Texas that are willing to provide their services for free or at a discounted rate until insurance or other reimbursement options become available. Providers must be licensed in Florida or Texas in order to qualify.
Hurricane Harvey has been recorded as the wettest tropical hurricane in the contiguous United States. Affected areas received over forty inches of rain in a four-day period. This resulted in catastrophic flooding in many parts of Eastern Texas. National and Statewide requests have been made for assistance.
Therapists, Psychologists, Counselors and other medical professionals interested in volunteering their services, can do so through Let’s Talk Counseling’s secure online system. Let’s Talk Counseling provides health care providers with an easy and effective way to provide care to those that need it most.
“We are pleased to offer our solution to health care providers willing to help those in need.” said Michael Meyers of Let’s Talk Counseling. “We understand how important it is that those affected get help immediately.”
Mental health issues are extremely common after a hurricane or other natural disaster. Those affected often suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), chronic depression, anxiety, substance abuse and addiction. Mental health issues are particularly common in adolescents and young children. If mental health issues are not addressed promptly, community-rebuilding efforts may be delayed.
