Levelised Cost of Energy and the Future Transition to a Clean Energy Sector
(PRWEB UK) 16 September 2016 -- Natural Power’s Jeremy Sainsbury OBE will be making the keynote speech at the forthcoming International Conference on Renewable Power Generation (RPG) to be held on 21 - 23 September 2016 at IET London: Savoy Place.
Jeremy’s presentation ‘Levelised cost of energy and the future transition to a clean energy sector’ is set to explore how the energy sector is changing for good. From energy policy, to the potential of disruptive technology, and what this means for investors as the global marketplace moves towards a green economy, Jeremy is sure to set the tone for the three day conference.
He said: “As we start to achieve cost parity and legislative targets, and move towards subsidy free operations, RPG 2016 comes at an interesting time. We have seen solar and onshore wind already succeed, and must share learning and best practice throughout the global energy supply chain to ensure the renewable energy market continues to thrive and attract solid investment.”
Jeremy’s keynote slot follows the Chairman’s welcome from National Grid’s Mike O’Hare at 9am on Wednesday 21st September. There will also be a second key note address from Jonathan Duffy, London Array, on Thursday 22nd September.
RPG is a growing forum for international academics, industry and business leaders where they can meet, publish results and share knowledge in the renewable power generation sector.
With a revised scope that directly reflects challenges and issues faced by industry, and a new chair in Mike O’Hare, National Grid (previously London Array) the conference is more relevant than ever to those working in and researching for the expanding renewables sector.
Mike O’Hare, National Grid, Conference Chair, said: “Lowering the cost of renewable power generation, and its associated grid integration, is one of the great challenges of our time.
"Renewable power will only become mainstream if the creative spirit, dynamism and teamwork of the engineering community is harnessed – from academia, industry and business."
There are numerous session themes to explore at RPG 2016, a choice of over 80 technical presentations and contributions from over 20 countries around the world. To find out more and to book tickets, please visit http://conferences.theiet.org/rpg-europe/index.cfm
