Lewis Roca Rothgerber Attorney Brent Owen Appointed to Colorado Supreme Court Advisory Committee
Denver, Colorado (PRWEB) April 20, 2015 -- Lewis Roca Rothgerber LLP proudly announces that Brent Owen has been appointed to the Colorado Supreme Court Advisory Committee on the Rules of Civil Procedure, also known as the Civil Rules Committee. Owen will serve a three-year term.
Established in 1978, the Civil Rules Committee is a standing committee appointed by the Colorado Supreme Court and charged with periodic review, correction and improvement of all of the State Court Civil Rules except Appellate Rules and the Colorado Rules of Evidence. The committee is chaired by the Honorable Michael H. Berger of the Colorado Court of Appeals and composed of 28 members of varying backgrounds, including judges, magistrates, professors and attorney litigators in various areas of practice.
Owen is an associate in Lewis Roca Rothgerber’s litigation practice group who focuses on complex civil and commercial litigation at the trial and appellate levels. He maintains a particular emphasis on professional malpractice defense, election law work, constitutional claims and product liability defense.
Before joining the firm, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Nancy E. Rice of the Colorado Supreme Court.
