Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie partner Kristin Bronson named new Denver City Attorney
DENVER, Colo. (PRWEB) August 19, 2016 -- Kristin Bronson, a partner at law firm Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie LLP, was appointed as Denver’s new City Attorney today by Mayor Michael B. Hancock. A respected litigator with more than 20 years of experience, Bronson will be sworn in on Oct. 17.
As City Attorney, Bronson will provide legal representation to Denver city officials, departments, agencies, boards and commissions, and oversee some 200 attorneys, paralegals and administrative staff. The appointment was announced during a news conference at the Denver City and County Building.
“Kristin is a brilliant and innovative lawyer,” Mayor Hancock said. “Her expertise and legal acumen will allow her to lead one of the largest public law offices in the state. This is a vital role within city government and I have no doubt she will provide us with the highest quality of counsel and representation.”
Bronson's practice at Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie focuses on complex business litigation, including representation of individual and corporate plaintiffs and defendants in class and derivative actions, and representation of local and national corporate entities in contract, fraud and other business and real estate litigation. She is co-chair of the firm’s Real Estate Industry Team and active in firm leadership.

Bronson currently serves on the Board of Denver Downtown, Inc., as chair of the Downtown Denver Partnership’s Economic Development Council, as president of the Colorado Women’s Bar Association Foundation and is a member of the Faculty of Federal Advocates, Inc. Appointed by Gov. Bill Ritter, she was a member of Colorado Real Estate Commission for six years, including serving as chair.

In addition to her current responsibilities at Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie, Bronson has been a member of the firm’s Executive and Strategic Planning Committees, and helped drive the firm’s diversity efforts as Hiring Partner for five years. She earned her law degree from the University of Colorado Law School in 1997 and is an active member of the Denver, Colorado and Women’s Bar associations.
