Lex Mundi Reinforces its Client Service Platform with New Strategic Plan
Houston, TX (PRWEB) October 11, 2017 -- The Lex Mundi Board of Directors recently approved the adoption of a new strategic plan that aims to strengthen the competitiveness of its member law firms and their ability to collaborate across borders to provide unique high-quality legal solutions for clients around the globe.
Recognizing the rapidly changing marketplace for high-value corporate legal advice, the new plan focuses on initiatives to help member firms, and the network, maintain a leading market position and enhance service quality.
Technology plays a large role in the new strategic plan. The plan includes increased support for member firms in their use of technology and the development of a set of Lex Mundi technology capabilities -- starting with the piloting of solutions that will enhance the ability of member firms to collaborate in serving clients through the platform.
To support the advancement of the new strategic plan, Lex Mundi made three senior appointments in September:
• Gordon Vala-Webb will serve as Senior Advisor, Technology and Innovation. Gordon brings many years’ experience with accounting and law firms in Canada and is more recently known for his book, "Building Smarter Organizations.”
• Jenny Karlsson brings in-house expertise as a former general counsel in the oil and gas sector and as a private practice lawyer with leading law firms in London and New York.
• David Sanders, former Chief Marketing Officer of Maclay Murray & Spens, brings a long career of mapping services to meet the demands of international clients.
Describing the significance of the appointments, Carl Anduri, President of Lex Mundi, said, “The new members of our team bring tremendous experience and skill sets to our organization to strengthen our support for member firms. We are proud to be the first network to have a dedicated professional resource for helping member firms in their technology and innovation initiatives. We are also excited to add very talented professionals to our business development team whose keen understanding of clients and their business challenges can help us marshal the resources of our network and find unique client solutions.”
Gordon Vala-Webb has been a consultant with Lex Mundi for four years and now takes on the assignment to advise member firms and the network with respect to technology and innovation. Vala-Webb’s appointment will also ensure that the Lex Mundi network is served by the best thinking in the use of technology for efficient collaboration on complex, multi-jurisdictional matters.
Karlsson and Sanders join Lex Mundi’s Business Development team, which since its inception in 2012 focuses on leveraging the expertise of member firms to develop global resources for corporate counsel in the form of unique insights and cross-border solutions.
