LexisNexis Rolls Out CaseMap 11 with Customizable User Ribbon and New Reports Menu
Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) January 13, 2015 -- LexisNexis® Legal & Professional today announced the launch of version 11 of its CaseMap® solution, the newest release of the company’s award-winning fact and issue management software. The new CaseMap product updates and modernizes the user interface in the familiar look and style of the Microsoft® Office 2013 productivity suite.
“Based on the feedback we received from our customers, we’ve simplified and modernized CaseMap including a fully customizable user ribbon so all of the robust features in the software are easier to find and use,” said Steve Ashbacher, vice president for the CaseMap suite of software products in the LexisNexis software division. “The software also now includes a reconfigured reports drop-down menu that enables users to take advantage of a wider range of reports they can send to clients or other members of the litigation team.”
The CaseMap software helps litigation teams bring together the relevant facts, documents, cast of characters and issues of each case – as well as legal and investigative research – into a centralized repository for improved case assessment. This allows users to maximize case knowledge, see connections they might otherwise miss and better collaborate with their colleagues on a matter.
The new version of the software was designed to resemble the user interface for the Microsoft Office 2013 productivity suite, which is familiar to most legal professionals for its popular “user ribbon” across the top of the screen that makes various features in the application easier to discover and use. This allows users to take advantage of great tools in the software that otherwise may have taken longer to launch – or they may not have even realized were available.
The new version 11 also includes a new “tool tips” capability that allows users to hover over any item on the customizable user ribbon and view some helpful hints about that function. Other features in CaseMap 11 now more easily accessible on the customizable user ribbon include the following:
• “Issue Linking” button is now centered on the ribbon for quick access and ease of use
• “Sort & Filter” and “Find” features are now prominently displayed on the ribbon, with drop-down menus for each one so users can select the operation they need
• “Review Linked Files” can now be launched directly from the ribbon and users can begin their review of all documents
The CaseMap software suite has won more than 50 legal industry awards for its innovative use of technology that helps litigators better manage their cases. The new functionality now available with CaseMap 11 was developed as a result of extensive customer feedback.
