LexisNexis to Showcase Powerful Portfolio of Analytical, Workflow and Productivity Tools at LegalTech New York 2015
New York, NY (PRWEB) January 30, 2015 -- At LegalTech® New York (LTNY) 2015, LexisNexis® Legal & Professional will be showcasing its powerful portfolio of innovative legal technology products and services for research, practical guidance, litigation and practice management – providing lawyers with essential information, workflow and analytical tools for all aspects of their legal work.
Located at LTNY Booth#100, the exhibit provides a comprehensive overview of the extensive, innovative portfolio of integrated tools and solutions from LexisNexis®, which are designed to help law firms and legal departments conduct their work with confidence and efficiency, reduce risk, retain clients and win new business.
Research Solutions
This year’s exhibit is showcasing a dramatically evolved portfolio of LexisNexis products and services for legal research and transactional work.
“Law firms and legal departments continue to face extraordinary pressures – and research and transactional work are key areas where they seek to optimize efficiencies while minimizing risk,” said Sean Fitzpatrick, managing director of the North American Research Solutions business at LexisNexis. “We work in lockstep with our customers to continuously advance our technology and content offering to help them expedite these activities so they can spend more time lending their legal expertise and counseling their clients.”
After a major overhaul of its product and business systems in 2014, LexisNexis is presenting its dynamic, next generation legal research platform Lexis Advance® with a new interface for faster, intuitive insights and a deeper integration with its enhanced analytical and workflow tools such as Shepard’s® Citation Service, LexisNexis MedMal Navigator®, LexisNexis® Verdict & Settlement Analyzer and LexisNexis® Litigation Profile Suite. For increasing mobility and device flexibility, the portfolio features both responsive design and a matching app for smart phones and tablets. Lawyers may also boost their productivity by embedding research directly into their workflow in Outlook or Word via the upgraded Lexis® for Microsoft Office®, which expedites search and drafting with features such as automated TOA creation, garnering various industry accolades in 2014.
LexisNexis also continues to invest in superior content and expertise. The extensive practical guidance resource, Lexis Practice Advisor®, now has grown to encompass eleven major practice areas and jurisdictions. Lexis® Securities Mosaic®, the essential resource for securities and capital markets insights, and Law360®, the predominant legal news offering covering the full spectrum of practice areas, were also expanded. Additionally, with more than 2,500 device-agnostic titles available, LexisNexis is the largest publisher of legal eBooks, and its Digital Library offering has grown to include titles from prominent organizations such as the American Bar Association.
With more than 60,000 legal, news, business and public records sources – including marquee brands such as Matthew Bender®, Mealey’s™, Sheshunoff™ and A.S. Pratt™, Michie™, ALM®, The New York Times®, The Wall Street Journal® – at the core of its research offering, LexisNexis furnishes its customers with a distinct content advantage, which is continually built out. As a result of the recent acquisition of Moreover®, LTNY visitors can preview the media monitoring, competitive intelligence and market research product Newsdesk, which will serve as the foundation for a next generation current awareness solution, launching later this year as LexisNexis® Newsdesk.
Software Solutions
Over the course of the last few years, LexisNexis has steadily consolidated its business of law software businesses under an initiative aimed at the company’s strengths in the legal market and ability to scale research and development. In 2014, the company also combined its litigation solutions with the business of law forming a single division dedicated to legal software. The software division is based in Raleigh, NC where LexisNexis continues to build out a world-class technology facility and Software Center of Excellence.
“We’ll be unveiling several product updates at LegalTech New York, which begin to indicate the direction LexisNexis is headed with a single division focused on software,” said Mike Lipps, managing director for the LexisNexis software division. “As the sessions, ideas and products on display at LegalTech demonstrate – technology provides law firms and law departments alike with new efficiencies and competitive advantages; that’s what this software division is solely dedicated to delivering.”
The software division will also host two different authors in booth #100 for book signing events over the course of the show. Ben M. Schorr, the author of “Microsoft Office 365 for Lawyers,” will be on hand to sign books on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 from 2:00-3:15 p.m. Likewise, Ann M. Guinn, the author of Minding Your Own Business: The Solo and Small Firm Lawyer’s Guide to a Profitable Practice, will be on hand to sign her book on Wednesday February 4, 2014 from 10:00-10:30 a.m.
As a courtesy of LexisNexis, both books are available at no cost to attendees who attend the sessions in which the respective author participates. The sessions can be easily identified on the official LegalTech New York schedule by the unique session codes: LFB2 and LFB3.
