LHR Technologies, Inc. Releases Project Designer™ 2.0 for the CarveWright™ 3D Fabrication System
Pasadena, TX (PRWEB) July 02, 2013 -- LHR Technologies, Inc., the creator of the CarveWright™ 3D Fabrication CNC system, announces the availability of Project Designer™ 2.0, the design and layout software used to create projects to be carved or cut by the CarveWright™ CNC machine. While the familiar look and feel of earlier versions of Project Designer™ remains the same, this new version features several new capabilities as well as a new underlying platform that opens the door for future advances.
This software release marks the first major version release of Project Designer™ since its initial launch in 2006. It is setting the standard for future major releases at an upgrade price of $200 for existing and new users with the current version. CarveWright™ will continue to package a free version of Project Designer™ 1.187 with the system upon purchase and available on the website.

The key features include:
• Refined Installer - Improves installation on newer operating systems and allows for automatic check for updates.
• Open With Preview - A new open window, which displays a graphic preview for easier navigation to the desired project or patterns.
• New View Options - Rotate the board view to either portrait or landscape options.
• New Custom Feather Controls - Set your feather distance to a custom setting up to one inch.
• New Lithopane View - View the board as backlit plastic to view what the litho will look like.
• New Text Controls - An entirely new font engine, with control over point size, kerning, and line spacing.
• Decorate With Text - A new text tool that allows text to follow any path drawn in the work space.
• Puffing Text - Now raster text may be puffed with any of the 3D modeling puffing tools.
• Preview Text on Board - Now when editing text the software shows the text on the board while it is typed.
• New Centerline Text - The CenterlineText algorithms have been rewritten to make cutting much faster and cleaner.
• Edit Envelope Tool - This new tool allows for warping and distorting any item on the workspace.
