Liberty Wear Lends a Hand to Those Recovering from the Gatlinburg Fire
Springboro, Ohio (PRWEB) December 14, 2016 -- The Gatlinburg fire that has left thousands of citizens with nothing is a tragedy to all of us. The fire started on Chimney Tops Trail on Nov. 23 that produced winds of 87 mph. This historic fire has left many homeless. Citizens had nearly no time to gather belongings after an evacuation of the city was ordered. This tragic fire resulted in 14 deaths, scores injured and countless homes and businesses destroyed.
Liberty Wear felt like it was a must to go see the aftermath and check on the wellbeing of their customers in the area. A resident of Gatlinburg and business owner of Hayloft, Dan Booth, has been helping greatly with the aftermath of the fire. Tammy and Curt Jackson, owners of Liberty Wear Apparel, have given a donation to help his efforts.
From benefit concerts to churches collecting donations, many people and organizations are doing what they can to rebuild and recover. Curt Jackson has been visiting Gatlinburg for over 30 years now. Curt and Tammy have hiked the Chimney Tops Trail several times stunned with how beautiful the scenery is.
“It’s hard to see Gatlinburg in the state it’s in, but I believe with everybody’s joint efforts, Gatlinburg can rebuild and hopefully be even better than it already was,” said Tammy Jackson.
There are many ways to get involved or donate to those in need. We ask for your help in making sure Gatlinburg has what it needs to make a speedy recovery. Liberty Wear’s best wishes go out to everyone impacted by this historic disastrous fire.
