Library Experts Join Boopsie in Customer Service, Social Media and Library Outreach Positions
Sunnyvale, CA (PRWEB) December 17, 2013 -- Boopsie, Inc., the leading mobile solution for libraries, added two new members to their budding team. Silvia Spiva was hired as the Senior Manager, Customer Service & Social Media and Katie Stinson for Library Outreach. Silvia will be focusing on increasing Boopsie’s ability to service its growing customer base as a Customer Service manager, with a special emphasis on Social Media for libraries. Katie will be creating and managing information valuable to libraries through extensive research, content creation and other editorial outlets. They will both be leveraging the company’s Boopsie Analytics™ platform to help libraries acquire more users, make the most out of their expensive subscription services and deliver the best user experience.

Prior to joining Boopsie, Silvia worked at several large tech companies in the Bay Area, including Cisco and Apple. While at Cisco, Silvia built digital libraries for enterprise users for the Worldwide Sales Enablement department. She also wrote posts for Cisco Blogs, as part of their Social Ambassadors program. Silvia acted as a mentor to several students in TechGirlsUK, a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) group based out of Lancashire, England. As a Corporate Librarian, Silvia leveraged social media from the Internet Librarian 2013 Conference to deliver users easier access to time critical information.
Silvia received her BS in Business Administration - Marketing from San José State University. She is currently working on her Masters of Library & Information Science degree, with a focus on Digital Libraries, at San José State University's School of Library and Information Science.

Katie comes to Boopsie with a strong background in academic libraries. She worked at the Graduate and Undergraduate Libraries at the University of Michigan for four and a half years, where she also earned her Bachelor’s Degree. Prior to joining Boopsie, she worked in the financial services industry where her attention to detail and prolific use of analytics was critical. Katie received her BA from the University of Michigan and aspires to get a Masters of Library & Information Science.
