Lice Happens Opens Franchise Operation in Southwest Florida

Eckert (a registered nurse) and her neighbor, Nancy Fields, partnered to start Lice Happens in Annapolis, Maryland in 2009. And six years later, Danelle Harden (a registered nurse) and her neighbor, Jenn Stek is opening a Lice Happens Franchise in Southwest Florida.
“This is fantastic,” said Nancy Fields. “As franchisors we could have never imagined that we would have franchisees operating in Florida who are on such a parallel path to us.” Couple the friendship with the fact that both groups got involved with the business of lice treatment because of a personal experience with the annoying insects.
“We had an episode with a lice infestation while on vacation this past summer,” said Jenn Stek. “As soon as we got back home I called Danelle to share our little adventure and the light bulb went off in our heads.” One thing led to another and the search for a business opportunity led them to Lice Happens.
“It is so funny how things work out,” said Danelle. “One day you’re talking about a nightmare of a vacation with your neighbor and 6 months later you are in business together treating children and educating parents on head lice.” The partners have just completed training and are eager to start spreading the “No Shame. No Blame” message to families in the greater Fort Myers and Naples vicinity.
Head lice are wingless insects that can only survive on the human scalp and feed exclusively on human blood.
