Life's "Beautiful Worries" to be Showcased at Tampa Art Event Benefiting Make-A-Wish® on Saturday, August 29
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) July 24, 2015 -- Local personal injury law firm, Kinney, Fernandez & Boire, P.A. knows that an accident is a big thing to worry about. Health concerns, insurance claims, and unexpected issues only add to the other “little things” life can present. The creative concept, which mirrors the challenges experienced by families whose children are facing life-threatening medical conditions, served as inspiration for an art exhibition that will help raise funds for Make-A-Wish® Central and Northern Florida. The event, which is open to the public, will be held at District 3 in downtown Tampa on Saturday, August 29 at 7 p.m.
In June, members of the local arts community were invited to submit pieces that celebrate life’s “Beautiful Worries.” The design intent is to embody the many little worries that we all have – like “Do I drink too much caffeine?” or “Did I remember to close the garage door this morning?” The custom pieces will recognize these little worries, and then illustrate them beautifully with any interpretation from the artists. Contributing artists include Conrad Garner, as well as a commissioned piece specially created for the event by Joshua Pearson and Jay Giroux.
“We are honored to partner with the local art community to showcase their work, and assist in granting the wish of a child,” said Marcus Fernandez, Associate at Kinney, Fernandez & Boire, P.A.. “I am a passionate advocate for Make-A-Wish and continue to be inspired by their dedication to grant wishes that enhance the lives of the children they serve. If we can take away one worry and replace it with a beautiful one, we have accomplished what we set out to do.”
In addition to local artists, a small area of the exhibit will be dedicated to artwork crafted by children impacted by Make-A-Wish, and available for purchase. These personal masterpieces will be created by Wish Kids at an event being held at the Epicurean Hotel on Thursday, July 30 from 1-3 p.m. One hundred percent of the proceeds raised from Wish Kid art will be donated to Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida.
Guests are invited to RSVP through the Facebook event page at http://tinyurl.com/BeautifulWorriesRSVP. The call to artists is currently open, and interested parties can visit the submission website at http://www.tinyurl.com/beautifulworries for more information. Deadline for entries is July 31.
