Limbs & Things Showcases New Medical Simulation Products at IMSH
Savannah, GA (PRWEB) January 07, 2016 -- Limbs & Things will be showcasing several new and exciting products that will be released throughout 2016. The highly popular PROMPT Flex Birthing Simulator will feature additional modules for Post-Partum Hemorrhage, Cervical Dilation and Effacement and Cesarean sections. These new modules will enable first time as well as experienced medical practitioners to prepare for unfamiliar high risk obstetrical procedures through direct practice with the simulators. Limbs staff will be at Booth #715 and will have stations set up for personal hands-on time with the trainers.
Current development projects including the Knee Aspiration & Examination Trainer with Ultrasound Capability will be shown as well. The Knee model is an improved and highly anticipated version of the Knee for Aspiration Trainer that now allows for the practice of ultrasound.
Limbs & Things is also developing an Abdominal Examination Trainer which provides a platform for the skills required when conducting an abdominal examination. Key components such as auscultation, palpation and percussion can be practiced on the Trainer, providing an ideal tool for determining normal or pathological presentations in the adult abdomen. Percussion and palpation can be performed by means of interchangeable skin, organs and masses; auscultation of sounds from .wav files played through embedded speakers are located inside.
The new range of FLS products, developed in partnership with SAGES will be featured as well.
Chief Learning Officer, Robin Wootten, PhD, MBA, RN will be providing demonstrations for PROMPT Flex as well as its integration with the Post-Partum Hemorrhage, Cervical Dilation and Effacement and Cesarean Section modules throughout the conference. "Come by our booth to see live demonstrations of shoulder dystocia, breech delivery, forceps and vacuum extractor deliveries, and our newly improved Bluetooth baby and software. There will be plenty of opportunities to try it out", says Wootten.
