Lime Connect Launches Applications for Two Outstanding Scholarship Opportunities with Google and BMO Capital Markets
New York, New York (PRWEB) October 30, 2013 -- Lime Connect is pleased to announce the launch of annual applications for The Google Lime Scholarship and The BMO Capital Markets Lime Connect Equity Through Education Scholarship, both excellent opportunties for students with disabilities to obtain support of their studies and connect with two best in class corporations for future career opportunities. Scholarship detail includes:
GOOGLE LIME SCHOLARSHIP
Recipients will each receive a scholarship for the 2014-2015 academic year. Selected students will also be invited to attend the annual Google Scholars' Retreat at the Googleplex in Mountain View, California, in 2014, and be considered for software engineering internship opportunities with Google. Scholarships will be awarded based on the strength of candidates' academic background and demonstrated passion for computer science - $10,000 for those studying in the US and $5,000 for those studying in Canada (based on tuition costs).
Scholarship Applicants must be:
•An undergraduate, graduate or PhD student currently enrolled at a university in the U.S. or Canada (freshmen/first years and international students studying in the U.S. or Canada are eligible to apply)
•Intend to be enrolled in or accepted as a full time student at a university in the U.S. or Canada in the 2014-2015 academic year
•Pursuing a Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree, or a degree in a closely related technical field (such as software engineering; or electrical engineering with a heavy computer science course load)
•Maintaining a strong academic performance
•A student with a visible or invisible disability
•Exemplify leadership and demonstrate a commitment to and passion for computer science and technology
•Previous Google Lime Scholars are unfortunately not able to be considered
BMO CAPITAL MARKETS LIME CONNECT EQUITY THROUGH EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
Selected recipients will receive $10,000 (students in the US) or $5,000 (students in Canada) to support their future studies, and consideration for a Summer 2014 internship. Scholarships are competitive, and awards are based on the strength of candidates' applications.
Scholarship Applicants must be:
•A current undergraduate or graduate student at a four-year university in the United States or Canada (graduate program itself, i.e., business school, may be shorter in length)
•Continuing studies as a full-time student in fall 2014 with a minimum 40% course load
•Pursuing a degree in business/commerce, engineering, math, physics, statistics or a related discipline
•Interested in a career in Financial Services with a focus on Capital Markets preferred
•A person with a (visible or invisible) disability (defined as someone who has, or considers themselves to have, a long-term or recurring, issue that impacts one or more major activities that others may consider to be a daily function); this definition also includes the perception among others that a disability exists. We know that 90% of disabilities on campus are invisible, and candidates with all disabilities are encouraged to apply
