Limited Edition Soxman Bobbleheads Now Available from National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) January 23, 2015 -- January 23, 2015 – Today, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum announced that longtime Chicago South Side Super Fan Soxman will be honored with his own bobblehead. Only 5,000 of the limited edition bobbleheads, which just arrived, have been made, with online orders now available at http://www.SoxmanBobbles.com.
According to Soxman, "It is a highlight of my character’s existence to have a bobblehead created in my likeness. It is also exciting beyond words to know that my proceeds will be going to honor the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Boy and Girl of the Year. Those fighting cancer are indeed the true superheroes. I couldn’t ask for a better partner in this endeavor than the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum.”
“After we started the process of making the Ronnie Woo Woo bobblehead to honor Ronnie, we came across a TV spot featuring both Woo Woo and Soxman. I had met Soxman at a Cubs vs. Sox game a few years ago and knew that he would make for another great Super Fan bobblehead,” said National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum Co-Founder and CEO, Phil Sklar. “As south siders are celebrating a 10 year World Series anniversary this year, the timing couldn’t be more perfect.”
Two dollars from each bobblehead sold will benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Man & Woman of the Year campaign, a 10 week challenge running from April 8 through June 20, where candidates compete to raise the most funds in honor of the Boy & Girl of the year. “Leukemia is the number one cancer killer among children under the age of 20,” said LLS Midwest Region Campaign Director Kayla Kovarna. “While we have seen tremendous advancements in treatment for these little ones there is still more work to be done.”
“We are so appreciative to Soxman and The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum for their incredible fundraising efforts to support blood cancer patients,” said LLS executive director Kate Monteleone. “The funds they raise will help to save lives today, not someday.”
Soxman bobbleheads, which cost $15 plus shipping, can be purchased at http://www.SoxmanBobbles.com using all major credit cards and PayPal or by calling the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum at 800-414-1482. Fans wishing to purchase both Soxman and Ronnie Woo Woo bobbleheads should order at http://www.bobbleheadhall.com/shop. A limited number of bobbleheads will be reserved exclusively for Members of the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum. "We encourage fans to purchase early since there is a limited number available,” according to Sklar.
