LINAK U.S. Inc. Begins Planning Landmark $33 Million Expansion, Bringing Several Hundred New Jobs
Louisville, Kentucky (PRWEB) December 13, 2016 -- LINAK, a worldwide leader in electric linear actuation solutions, has begun the process of expanding their North and South American headquarters in Louisville.
These plans, include an addition of approximately 75,000 square feet to be complete by the end of next year. The new facility will allow for the nearby distribution center to move in, which will improve logistics and will also house the DESKLINE production lines. The second phase will be built at a future date and will add on another 70,000 square feet. This area includes new offices that offer opportunities for expansion of departments and exciting new initiatives.
“We foresee this growth as landmark moment in the future of LINAK,” says Vice President of Operations Jan Petersen. “This expansion will allow LINAK to evolve in several exciting ways and prepare us for continued growth in the coming years.”
With the expansion, LINAK will have the room to grow not only operations but also their workforce. The company plans to hire 60 people within a year of completing expansion. Over five years, LINAK hopes to add several hundred jobs to their Louisville workforce.
These plans were recently approved by the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority, allowing the company to move forward. To meet target dates, the building site itself must be cleared by March 31st, 2017.
