LINAK U.S. Inc. Granted ISO 14001:2004 Certification
Louisville, Kentucky (PRWEB) June 10, 2016 -- LINAK U.S, a worldwide leader in electric linear actuator solutions, announced today that it has officially been granted ISO 14001:2004 certification.
ISO 14001:2004 is the world’s first international standard for environmental management systems. The standard helps organizations proactively protect the environment by enhancing environmental performance, sustaining the development of environmental systems and providing a framework for the continual improvement of environmental impacts.
“Ensuring that our operations have a minimal impact on the environment is extremely important to us,” said Soren Stig-Nielson, President of LINAK U.S. “Our company values and environmental policy align perfectly with this certification.”
To acquire ISO 14001:2004 certification, organizations must be audited by an independent registrar and to maintain the certification, independent audits must be held on an annual basis.
Developed by International Organization of Standards to promote the measurement and improvement of the environmental impact of operations, ISO 14001:2004 certification has been awarded to more than 250,000 of the most environmentally-conscious companies around the world.
“Our team is highly dedicated to consistently improving our processes across the board,” said Doug Clark, Director of Quality at LINAK U.S. “LINAK will continue to raise the bar in order to enhance our products, systems and processes.”
LINAK U.S. previously earned ISO 9001:2008 certification, a standard that assists in the measurement and management of quality across all systems.
