LiquidEHR, Inc. Partners With DrFirst to Deliver Comprehensive E-prescribing Functionality to Its Customers
Rockville, MD (PRWEB) July 30, 2013 -- LiquidEHR, Inc. announced today its new partnership with DrFirst to provide comprehensive e-prescribing functionality to practices using the company’s LiquidEHR, Electronic Health Records (EHR) system. This fully integrated e-prescribing system will enable eye care providers to improve prescribing safety and practice efficiency.
With the integration of DrFirst’s Rcopia® e-prescribing technology, eye care providers using LiquidEHR will be able to easily and securely submit electronic prescriptions to retail or mail-order pharmacies while accessing comprehensive clinical information for each patient. Accessible patient information includes drug and allergy interactions, available prescribing histories and formulary information. Doctors and their staff members can easily access the SureScripts-certified functionality from within the LiquidEHR workflow, and all the resulting prescribing data is instantly captured within the application.
The joint e-prescribing software is certified for Stage One Meaningful Use and will eliminate illegible prescriptions, issue faster prescriptions, and dramatically reduce calls and faxes between the medical office and the pharmacy.
“We are pleased to work with LiquidEHR to bring industry-leading electronic prescribing technology to eye care providers,” said G. Cameron Deemer, president of DrFirst. “Through this integration, LiquidEHR users will participate in the benefits of e-prescribing seamlessly within their LiquidEHR workflow.”
“In partnering with an established leader such as DrFirst, LiquidEHR, Inc. continues its dedication to expanding LiquidEHR functionality,” said Gabie Lambrechtse, President and CEO of LiquidEHR, Inc. “We keep pushing the technology envelope further to stay ahead of customer demand and offer the best and most affordable EHR system possible.”
