Little City’s 5th Annual Food Frenzy Raises Funds for Children with Disabilities in Foster Care and Adoption Program
Palatine, IL (PRWEB) April 22, 2014 -- Little City’s Junior Board will host young Chicago professionals at Kendall College on Thursday, May 1 at the 5th Annual Food Frenzy to raise funds for Little City’s Foster Care & Adoption Program, while guests enjoy exclusive delicacies from Chicago’s hottest restaurants.
Little City’s Foster Care & Adoption Program provides services to children with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities in foster care who have been identified as having been abused or neglected. Proceeds raised from the event will go towards finding forever families for these individuals.
“The need for willing families to provide loving, nurturing and safe foster homes to children with disabilities has never been greater,” said Little City Junior Board President Brendan Scanlan. “The Food Frenzy brings other young professionals together for a night where they can try exquisite food from Chicago restaurants, while supporting Little City’s efforts to find loving families for children in need.”
Guests will enjoy exclusive food and drinks from Café Milk & Honey, Cream Wines, The Florentine, Goose Island, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Lula Cafe, Mana Food Bar, Red Door, Revolution Brewing, Southport & Irving, Sushi Dokku and Vera.
For more than 20 years, Little City’s Foster Care & Adoption Program has provided innovative, individualized and community-based treatment to children and their families. As part of its mission, Little City is committed to recruiting and supporting foster and adoptive families that provide loving homes for children with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Individual tickets are $75 and group tickets for two individuals are $140. Tickets will also be sold at the door.
