Live Webinar: How High-Pressure DSC Can Accelerate Reactions and Shorten Analysis Time
Greifensee, Switzerland (PRWEB) September 12, 2016 -- METTLER TOLEDO is pleased to present a new webinar, “High Pressure DSC”, on September 29th, 2016. The English-language webinar is part of the leading lab technology company’s year-long thermal analysis series. Covering basic principles and practical applications, the presentation will repeat live three times to allow participation from around the globe. For a list of times and to register, please click here.
High-pressure DSC allows the measurement of samples under defined atmospheres at up to 10 megapascal (MPa) as a function of temperature or time for materials testing, process development, and quality control. There is often no alternative that allows the same type of analysis under pressure in a controlled environment.
The robust method is used for university research as well as the analysis of products and components in the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries. In safety and reaction studies, it is used to measure a material’s thermo-oxidative performance (oxidative induction time). It is also used to separate overlapping thermal effects, investigate sorption/desorption or curing, and determine vaporization enthalpy.
The main advantages of this robust method are shorter analysis times, an ability to measure materials under defined atmospheres and pressures, and better separation of overlapping effects to simplify the interpretation of DSC curves. To learn more about the advantages of running successful high-pressure DSC studies and gain answers to application questions live, register today for the live presentation on September 29th.
