LiveAction Helps Enterprises Accelerate Troubleshooting to Fix Network Problems
Palo Alto, Calif. (PRWEB) December 12, 2013 -- ActionPacked Networks today announced the availability of its new LiveAction v3.1. Major enhancements include: broader and faster reporting capabilities, quicker problem solving, deeper visibility, enriched filtering and search features. It also includes Cisco® Medianet path analysis and Media Services Interface (MSI) 4.0 support.
LiveAction 3.1 new features and capabilities help simplify performance management with expanded visualization capabilities. Network administrators can now identify issues and resolve network problems faster. As a result, boosting IT efficiency within complex enterprise network environments.
Faster, More Flexible, Wider Range of Reports
LiveAction 3.1 enriched report performance is now five times quicker. Its new smart 360-degree report view feature enables greater reporting flexibility with enhanced workflows. Network administrators can now pivot between various reports and drill down for in-depth data analysis and troubleshooting.
Quicker Problem Solving and Greater Network Visibility with Enhanced Alerts
LiveAction 3.1 also offers improved context-aware alerts. Well-defined workflow includes alert drill down visibility to applicable flows and other relevant details. This allows issues to be isolated and solved faster by understanding who is involved, what they are doing, and where problems occur.
Simpler and Quicker Information Access with Enhanced Filtering and Search
New expanded time saving text-based filter and search features leverage network semantic knowledge. Together, these features accommodate focused problem solving analyses and accelerated troubleshooting. Network administrators can quickly find specific information with the easy keyword search engine across millions of flow records or reports.
Hop-by-Hop Visibility Through Medianet Path Analysis and MSI 4.0 Support
LiveAction 3.1 provides the ability to analyze current and historical voice and video performance across enterprise networks. To isolate application issues, LiveAction’s new Medianet path analysis feature includes visualization of Cisco Medianet performance monitor (PerfMon), and quality-of-service (QoS) metrics at every hop.
LiveAction endpoint management is updated to support Cisco Media Services Interface (MSI) 4.0. Capabilities include notifications when individual endpoints appear online, alerts on application performance thresholds, and reverse Mediatrace to analyze video path performance.
Additional new LiveAction 3.1 features include:
• Wireless User Identity – LiveAction better manages corporate end device and BYOD application usage when the Cisco wireless controller is integrated with Cisco Identity Service Engine (ISE).
• Configuration Change Audit Trail – LiveAction Tracks who makes what network device configuration changes to support an audit trail for proof of updates and adherence of compliance and security requirements.
SUPPORTING QUOTES
Enterprise Management Associates (EMA): Jim Frey, Vice President of Research “The key to effective monitoring and troubleshooting of today’s advanced networks is to directly link application-aware performance data to topological context. LiveAction does this in a highly graphical, intuitive manner that clearly highlights each flow, path, and interface, coupled with options for directly remediating diagnosed issues. The newly incorporated support for advanced Cisco® features keeps the solution at the forefront for recognizing and presenting performance insights into mixed networks and applications, where quality of end user experience increasingly relies on the integrity of compliance with defined QoS classes.”
ZK Research: Zeus Kerravala, Founder and Principal Analyst “Dynamic and high-growth businesses are adopting sophisticated application and network performance management tools to accommodate feature-rich business applications and additional voice and video traffic. They’re investing in tools that identify problems faster since 90% of the time taken to solve a network problem is identifying the problem. LiveAction brings application and networking teams visibility into their infrastructures so they can clearly see what issues affect their network and quickly pinpoint the location of an incident.”
Cisco: Vasanth Matamudra, Product Manager stated in his blog “With its current enhancements to support the Medianet Services Interface (MSI) management interface, LiveAction becomes one of the first products to support Medianet capabilities on endpoints as well as the network.”
ActionPacked Networks: John Smith, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer “In LiveAction 3.1, we incorporated feedback from network administrators. In doing so, included deeper visibility and made LiveAction easier to use.”
