Living Color Aquariums, Inc. and JetBlue Create a Custom Aquarium to be Featured in JetBlue’s New Crew Lodge in Orlando, Florida
Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) August 11, 2015 -- Living Color Aquariums, Inc. a world-renowned, award-winning designer and manufacturer of custom aquariums, has created a 220 gallon aquarium prominently featured in JetBlue’s new boutique crew lodge at the Orlando International Airport in Florida. This colorful saltwater aquarium was created to bring a sense of peace and tranquility to the JetBlue crew members in-between their busy flight schedules.
JetBlue retained Living Color Aquariums, Inc. to create a special aquarium to encompass JetBlue’s branding. Each unique element incorporated into the aquarium was designed to foster a relaxing environment that crew members can enjoy in-between flights and during their training. The specially designed aquarium includes the JetBlue logo inside the tank for all to see.
“We’ve created several themed aquariums which incorporate company logos into the design. It is always a challenge because, as we all know, a logo is a company identifier and it must be recognizable. So, the colors, the font, the background, the shape, etc. all have to be perfect. Furthermore we need to make the logo so it can survive underwater and be easily cleaned, because algae will grow on everything. We choose materials which we know can be easily cleaned and will not wear or fade away,” said Jose Blanco, Living Color’s Director of Operations.
Living Color’s main goal was to evoke a warm and relaxing environment where JetBlue’s crew members are able to decompress in-between their travels. “It was a great project to be involved in and it’s always good to know our aquarium is in the crew lodge where JetBlue’s team members will be able to relax, unwind, and enjoy it in-between their long flights,” said Blanco.
This most recent aquarium installation at the Orlando International Airport isn’t Living Color Aquariums first. Their team also installed a 3,000 gallon cylindrical aquarium in the middle of the food court. A popular attraction for all visitors of the airport, the aquarium allows for 360 degree viewing of the vibrant fish and synthetic coral. Not only does the feature provide entertainment for travelers while they wait on their flights, it also is responsible for the Orlando International Airport being featured on several top airport lists.
