LMI Technologies To Offer KScan3D 1.2 3D Modeling Software at No Charge

All future versions will also be made available at no cost. KScan3D software was previously offered as a $299 download.
Support for all new KScan3D downloads will be provided on a self-service, online basis only via User Guide, Tutorial and FAQ. For customers with valid, purchased KScan3D licenses, LMI will continue to provide technical support until June 30, 2016. LMI will not be providing refunds.
Developed by LMI Technologies, KScan3D is an entry level 3D scanning software solution that provides consumers with the ability to capture 3D scans of real-world objects using very low cost hardware.
KScan3D works seamlessly with consumer 3D scanners such as Kinect, Xbox One and Asus Xtion, providing full 3D modeling functionality. With KScan3D, low cost hardware, and a PC running Windows OS, users can capture 3D scans with just a click of a button. Advanced algorithms quickly process the captured information and enable users to export 3D models to .obj and .stl file formats.
