Local Home Improvement Companies Donate to Red Cross for Hurricane Relief
Des Plaines, IL (PRWEB) September 21, 2017 -- Three local home improvement companies and their employees banded together to raise money for hurricane relief efforts. Feldco Windows, Siding and Doors, Danley’s Garages and Early Times Home Solutions have made a donation of $15,698 to the Red Cross.
Doug Cook, owner of Feldco, Danley’s and Early Times, stated that “employees of our organizations and residents of the states of Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Iowa have been blessed with fantastic business and great weather. Our friends in Texas and Florida could use our help.” The companies’ original contribution was $5,000 and Cook encouraged employees to give where they could, and the companies would match those additional donations dollar for dollar.
The contributions from Feldco, Danley’s and Early Times employees totaled $5,349. As a result, with the company matching all employee donations, the total amount donated to the American Red Cross was $15,698. Feldco President, Ron Gerstung, announced this donation amount while expressing his gratitude for all the employees at Feldco, Danley’s and Early Times Home Solutions. “We are an organization that works together to help not only our customers with their home improvement projects, but strive to help the communities in which we serve. In this case, we wanted to serve some communities that desperately need help.”
Feldco employees most recently participated in the O’Hare Plane Pull benefitting Special Olympics and are now working with Habitat for Humanity to build a new house in Des Plaines. “I am proud of how our employees come together for local, and now national causes, and maintain a spirit of giving year in and year out,” added Gerstung. “It’s what makes us special.”
