Local Mom the Inspiration for 3rd Annual Brain Aneurysm Awareness 5K with Mary in Thibodaux Benefitting Renowned Brain Aneurysm Foundation
Hanover, MA (PRWEB) July 27, 2015 -- Please join the 3rd Annual Brain Aneurysm Awareness 5K with Mary on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Peltier Park in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Festivities will begin with a free kids fun run at 8:00am with the 5K run/walk kicking off thereafter. All proceeds from the event benefit the renowned Brain Aneurysm Foundation.
The family of a local resident created this special event after their mom truly beat the odds and survived a brain aneurysm rupture in 2012. Prior to the rupture, this mom didn’t have a single clue what was happening inside her body. Subsequent to surviving this rupture, she had to undergo another surgery to clamp other aneurysms that had not [yet] ruptured. Now Mary and her family are adamant and steadfast in their efforts to bring awareness to others so that people will become aware of the warning signs and know what actions they need to take immediately.
The fee to participate in the 3rd Annual Brain Aneurysm Awareness 5K with Mary is $20. And, those who register by August 14th receive a complimentary t-shirt. All children under 12 are free. The registration fee increases to $25 after August 14th.
