Location Lock Strikes Deal with KORE Telematics to Offer AT&T’s 3G Wireless Data Coverage to Customers
San Antonio, Texas (PRWEB) September 29, 2013 -- Authorized Trimble, MobileLock, and LandAirSea Dealer Location Lock, LLC recently announced they signed an agreement with KORE Telematics to offer AT&T’s 3G wireless data coverage for it’s GPS tracking devices. Stephen Conroy, founding partner and CEO, stated “Now that an agreement is in place with KORE Telematics, we can extend our GPS tracking device coverage area to the entire AT&T 3G and 2G wireless network. This is a critical move for our company because many of our customers operate fleets in the oil and gas industry including the lucrative Eagle Ford Shale region.”
GPS tracking devices use two technologies to calculate and communicate a vehicle’s location in the field. The first technology uses GPS (Global Positioning Systems) satellites to calculate a vehicle or mobile asset’s position (physical address, latitude, longitude, speed, direction, date and time). Once the position is known, a second technology is used to transmit the information back to an internal server and/or the end user’s tracking map. When an end user sends a command or requests the location of a vehicle or mobile asset, the data is transmitted via one of several wireless data networks. Location Lock now offers AT&T 3G wireless data coverage for the majority of its GPS trackers including devices manufactured by Trimble Navigation, Ltd; LandAirSea Systems, Inc; and Queclink.
The KORE Telematics AT&T SIM cards will primarily be used in Tracking the World’s GPS trackers that communicate with tracking software hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). These GPS trackers can be used for fleet management, law enforcement, consumer, and personal tracking. Location Lock recently announced, in a separate press release, their distributorship for Tracking the World, the U.S. distributor for Queclink. Tracking the World’s GPS trackers allows Location Lock to offer incredible pricing on both hardware and monthly services using AT&T’s extensive 3G wireless data network.
Conroy stated, “Location Lock’s mission is to bring our customers peace of mind by securing their assets through the company’s GPS tracking technology. We always want what is best for the customer. If Location Lock does not have the best technology in-house, we will go to the marketplace and find a viable solution for our customer to offer a comprehensive package.”
