The man, who is in his 60s, was apprehended quickly after the attack took place at the inpatient unit of Wotton Law Hospital in Gloucester. The victim was rushed to hospital by staff members around 7.30am following the attack. She died an hour later. A spokesman for 2gether NHS Foundation Trust said that the event was “tragic”.
