London School of Marketing releases a new blog post exploring shifting trends in MBA courses
London, England (PRWEB UK) 21 December 2015 -- London School of Marketing’s new blog post is a thorough analysis of MBA courses and how they have changed to meet the demands of today’s business world. The courses have maintained their practical, scientific approach to management, but they have also adapted rapidly to the digital age, acknowledging the internet’s effect on management-related areas such as finance, marketing and communication.
It introduces the reader to the MBA’s practical, relevant approach to various management-related tasks, from marketing and finance to operations and HR. The post then goes on to explore some of the MBA’s historic landmarks, such as its shift from the factory floor to the boardroom during the 1960s.
It also gives students who are considering embarking on an MBA a good idea of the skills they can expect to develop during the course.
Gimhani Gunasinghe, head of the school’s marketing department, said: “One feature of the MBA which hasn’t changed much over the decades is its emphasis on practicality. Students are exposed to a variety of real-life scenarios and case studies, and get the chance to develop a broad range of skills, all of which are highly relevant to today’s business environment.”
The post takes a detailed look at the areas which the course covers, including research methods, design, product protection, customer perception and competition. Also discussed is the dissertation which students are required to complete on a business issue of their choice.
