Long-Awaited “Monster Carnival” Debuts on Poptropica
Boston, MA (PRWEB) February 21, 2014 -- A quest shrouded in dark secrets and mystery, “Monster Carnival,” arrived – finally – on Poptropica today with the Island’s Early Access launch for Poptropica Members. Non-Members will have access to a limited demo of “Monster Carnival” before its full public launch on March 20, 2014.
Ever since the Island first appeared on the Poptropica Island map in 2008 before completely vanishing, Poptropica fans around the world have tried to uncover what “Monster Carnival” was all about, where it went, and when, if ever, it would return.
“Today, ‘Monster Carnival’ has returned to the Poptropica map and millions of kids around the world who have eagerly been awaiting the Island for five years can play this new adventure,” said Jess M. Brallier, publisher of Poptropica.
On “Monster Carnival,” Poptropica visitors will find that, in the dead of night, a caravan has rumbled into town: the traveling carnival has returned. As they explore Poptropica’s newest quest, they will discover that this is no day at the park – behind the lights and laughter the carnival harbors a dark secret. Players can enter, but they may never be able to escape the “Monster Carnival.”
After completing the main quest, Poptropica Members will have access to a bonus quest. They will learn that the town is safe, but now a prominent citizen is missing. They will need to decide if the “Monster Carnival” has claimed another victim or if something else is behind the disappearance.
Poptropica Members also get a “Monster Carnival” gear pack, which includes Hypno-Powder item, Raven Swarm power, and, during Early Access only, a Ringmaster costume.
Hundreds of millions of kids have visited Poptropica since its launch six years ago and the number grows every day. Poptropica players come from more than 200 different countries and territories and have their web browsers set to more than 100 different languages. The virtual world offers kids a safe place to play and connect online.
All Poptropica Islands are free to play, and each represents a unique theme and challenge. Kids can stay up to date on news about upcoming new Islands and other exciting developments in the world of Poptropica on the official Poptropica blog.
