Longstreth Sporting Goods Signs Sponsorship Agreement with Olympian Paige Selenski
Parker Ford, PA (PRWEB) September 20, 2013 -- Longstreth, a sporting goods company specializing in women’s field hockey, lacrosse and softball, had an exciting week by signing a sponsorship agreement, with USA National Women’s Field Hockey Forward, Paige Selenski (@PaigeSelenski) to endorse the GRYPHON line of hockey sticks.
A native of Shavertown, PA, Selenski has held a Forward position on the USA Women’s Field Hockey team for the last four years while attending the University of Virginia. She embodies the mission of Longstreth both on the field with incredible speed, stick work and passion, as well as off the field as a role model to younger players.
Selenski is a nationally acclaimed field hockey player with numerous honors including being a three-time First Team All-American, a two-time member of the NCAA All-Tournament Team, the All Time ACC leader in career points, and 2008 USA National Team Rookie of the Year. In 2012, Paige represented the United States at the London Olympics and in 2011, she was part of the Gold Medal winning squad at the Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico.
“I am very honored to be joining the Longstreth family. Longstreth has been a longtime supporter of our sport and I hope to help them grow field hockey to new heights in the U.S. ahead of Rio 2016,” said Selenski.
Supporting the game at all levels continues to be Longstreth’s mission and the company is thrilled to be able to assist national team players in their careers. “I am tremendously excited for Longstreth and Gryphon in particular,” said Jana Withrow, Field Hockey Manager at Longstreth. “Paige will be playing with the Gryphon Tour, a top international stick, as she begins preparations for her run up to the 2016 Olympic Games. Paige is very skillful with lots of speed. She is an exciting player to watch with the ability to finish and score goals.” Longstreth selects players for sponsorship who exemplify the same image, character and passion about field hockey that Longstreth strives to represent.
