Loring Ward Congratulates Chairman of the Board Alan Werba
San Jose, CA (PRWEB) February 26, 2014 -- On March 23, Hillel of Silicon Valley (http://www.hillelsv.org) will present a “Lifetime Achievement Award” to Loring Ward’s Chairman of the Board, Alan Werba, at Hillel’s annual Pillars of the Community luncheon.
Werba has served on Hillel’s board for more than ten years, leading a successful capital campaign to buy, renovate and endow a house for the college students at San Jose State and Santa Clara Universities as well as West Valley, Foothill & De Anza Colleges.
According to Werba, “Despite the implication that somehow my life’s work is complete, I plan to continue providing leadership and support to Hillel of Silicon Valley for many more years. Every time I attend a student event, I am energized by their enthusiasm and rededicate myself to helping sustain Hillel’s mission.”
To that end, Werba has committed to trying to break all previous fundraising records for Hillel. He has announced a “Loring Ward Matching Gift Challenge” and will personally match 50 cents for each dollar donated by Loring Ward employees and affiliated advisors (prior to March 23) up to a maximum matching gift of $25,000.
