Los Angeles Clippers Assistant Coach Mike Woodson to Host Inaugural Coaches Forum in Las Vegas
Las Vegas, Nevada (PRWEB) June 28, 2016 -- On Saturday, July 9, Michael Woodson, former Head Coach for the Atlanta Hawks, New York Nicks and current Assistant Coach for the Los Angeles Clippers, will host the inaugural Woodson Coach’s Forum, presented by COX Communications. The Woodson Forum, an integral part of the 3rd Annual Coach Woodson Las Vegas Invitational (CWLVI) hosted in Las Vegas as a kick-off to NBA Summer League, will bring basketball coaches from all over the country together for a meaningful event that will include discussions around coaching, strategy and mentorship along with professional development.
“Coaching is one of the most important and influential positions in the game and I couldn’t be more excited to host this inaugural Coach’s Forum on their behalf,” said Woodson. The goal of this forum is to bring coaches and players together from all levels of the game to share knowledge, receive mentoring and provide feedback. The Woodson Forum, held at Impact Basketball, will welcome coaches and players from the NBA, NCAA, AAU, High School, and local recreational centers and youth programs to come together and celebrate basketball and hear from some of the games legends. The event will kick off at 10:00a.m. with a coaching panel, co-hosted by Woodson and ESPN Broadcaster Jay Harris. The panel line-up will include: Byron Scott, former Head Coach of The Los Angeles Lakers; Joe Abunassar and Andrew Moore from Impact Basketball; Tommy Kyle, Nation of Coaches; former NBA stars Jerome Williams and Eddie Johnson; former NBA coach Jim Todd; Father of current NBA Celtics forward Jared Sullinger, Satch Sullinger, and LA Clippers Assistant Coach, Armond Hill.
