Los Angeles Maternity Photographer Gets Her Feet Wet!
(PRWEB) December 30, 2013 -- Los Angeles maternity photographer, Linnea Lenkus, is branching out with her photography and getting more than her toes wet. In a recent Hollywood Hills photography shoot, Linnea Lenkus submerged her artistic vision resulting in a series of stunning underwater photographs. The veteran photographer said the most difficult part of the session was staying under the water. “I luckily had a sandbag that I dropped to the bottom of the pool that helped to keep me under,” Lenkus said.
Her artistic direction was still valid underwater as Lenkus directed her client on what to do next once they both reached the surface. Adding to the avant garde style of the underwater photography session was a variety of fabrics. “I use different materials in my sessions especially with my pregnancy photography. It was really quite beautiful to see the undulating patterns the fabric would naturally create under the water. I spend a lot of time recreating that kind of beauty in the studio” shared Lenkus.
In November, the busy portrait photographer had her work hung on the walls of the gorgeous new Del Mar Birth Center which opened it’s second location in Pasadena, California. The birth center is not the only medical establishment asking for Lenkus’ artwork. Her creative pregnancy portraits and newborn photography can be found in numerous clinics all over the Los Angeles area including USC’s newest perinatal clinic opening in February. “I am always extremely please when local businesses ask to hang my artwork especially when I know that it both calms and inspires the families that are seeing them,” say Lenkus.
As the end of 2013 approaches Lenkus says she is overwhelmed with gratefulness for another successful year. She says that a large part of her business is created from referrals and return clients which is undoubtedly a testimony to the quality of art that she produces as well as the integrity in which she creates it with.
