Louis Berger to Provide Water and Wastewater Management Consulting Services to Bosnia-Herzegovina
Morristown, N.J. (PRWEB) January 27, 2014 -- Louis Berger International (Louis Berger) has been awarded a 48-month contract to provide consulting services to Bosnia-Herzegovina’s Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry. The tendering assistance and supervision for water works and sanitation program in Bosnia-Herzegovina, valued at 4 million euros, will develop an integrated, sustainable water and wastewater management program for Bosnia-Herzegovina that meets European Union (EU) standards.
"This 48-month project represents a challenge for the Western Balkans operations due to its geographical spread over 20 municipalities in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, mostly due to a problematic institutional framework. Nevertheless, we count on similar company experience and backstopping of projects in Kosovo, Macedonia and Romania and we trust to ensure a successful implementation," said Daniel Serafimovski, Louis Berger’s regional manager.
The program will focus on helping the ministry to effectively use its financial resources — including loans from the EU, the European Investment Bank as well as other grants — to improve the infrastructure, quality of water supply, wastewater collection and wastewater treatment services in the municipalities covered under the project scope. The project also will provide construction supervision services and offer support to respective project implementation teams as well as 20 project management teams.
