Birmingham, Alabama (PRWEB) August 17, 2015 -- Luckie & Company was recently honored with three awards at the annual Alabama Governor’s Conference on Tourism, held in Mobile, Ala. These awards were presented to Luckie by the Alabama Tourism Partnership and the Alabama Association of Destination Marketing Organizations (AADMO).
- Alabama Tourism Partnership Appreciation Award: in appreciation and recognition of 12 years of dedicated and valuable service to the Alabama tourism community (2003-2015)
- AADMO Award of Excellence: in recognition of an award-winning body of creative work for the Alabama Tourism Department (2003-2015)
- AADMO Award of Excellence: given to Bill Dinan, Luckie & Company account supervisor, in grateful appreciation of friendship and dedicated service to the Alabama tourism industry (2015)
In regards to the Alabama Tourism Partnership Appreciation Award, Susann Hamlin, president of AADMO and executive director of the Colbert County Tourism and Convention Bureau, stated, “What may have once been a ‘drive-thru’ state is now firmly ingrained as a ‘drive to’ state, attracting visitors from all over the country and even overseas. Over the course of this journey, Luckie was given the opportunity to take the state’s marketing to a whole new level of creativity in traditional, digital, event and experiential marketing.”
Account Supervisor Bill Dinan was described by several members of the AADMO as “high energy, dedicated, passionate and a big idea man” and was awarded for his contributions to tourism in Alabama.
“It was an honor to represent Luckie at the conference and accept these awards on its behalf,” said Dinan. “I am humbled by the personal recognition from our tourism industry partners and give credit to our close, collaborative relationships as a significant factor in the progress and successes we’ve achieved together.”
During the course of 12 years, Luckie helped to raise tourism economic impact from $4 billion to over $11 billion. For more information on Luckie’s travel expertise, please visit luckie.com/expertise/travel.
