Lufthansa Cargo Creates Corporate Mobile App with App Studio

Lufthansa Cargo is a global player in the field of air cargo, with 1.7 million tons of freight transported in 2013. Close to 4,600 staff members ensure the cargo entrusted to them arrives on time at more than 300 destinations in nearly 100 countries.
To communicate with employees and customers around the world, Lufthansa Cargo engaged with the agency PRH Hamburg to develop a corporate tablet and smartphone app featuring key details about the company such as information on its fleet, network, infrastructure, products and corporate responsibility. Lufthansa Cargo wanted the sales enablement app to empower its employees when speaking with customers as well as engage cargo and aircraft enthusiasts.
PRH Hamburg chose to design the corporate app for Lufthansa Cargo with App Studio. As a cloud-based solution, App Studio allows a number of members on the creative and editorial teams to work on the app simultaneously without affecting each other’s work. The multilingual implementation of App Studio also allows the agency’s translators to enter regional versions directly into the layout, eliminating cycle time and rework.

Lufthansa Cargo Corporate App Wins FOX AWARDS and iNOVA Awards
Each year the FOX AWARDS, an international competition judged by media and marketing experts, recognizes the best in efficient, high-performing corporate communication. In 2014 the Lufthansa Cargo corporate app won three FOX AWARDS, including the Fox Master of Efficiency, which is the highest possible recognition. It honors innovative media concepts and best practices across verticals that all marketers should utilize. The Lufthansa Cargo corporate app also won Gold for Fox Visuals, the award recognizing superior layout, typography and image design. Additionally, the app won the Fox Workflow Efficiency award for efficiency of publishing systems.
